In 1973, Narendra Mentha, an osteopath and massage therapist, came to England to study physiotherapy. He discovered that all of the massages that we practiced there, did not include head or scalp massage. In India, Head Massage was the way of life, that was passed from one generation to another. When Mr. Mehta returned to India, he spend a few years, learning traditions and physiological benefits of the head massage. Then he combined his knowledge and experience and developed the modern protocol for Indian Head Massage (Champissage) which is now widely practiced and is well known in UK and is rapidly gaining popularity in Canada and USA.
